The Airwallex Enterprise Sales team in North America has experienced remarkable growth over the past few years that has seen it servicing some of the organization’s biggest clients such as Brex, Deel, Shopify, WooCommerce, Xero.
The team takes care of large-scale corporate clients – typically multinational organizations – with complex needs, such as handling high-volume international payments, managing multi-currency transactions, and integrating tailored financial solutions into their operations.
“Every day, our team engages with large-scale businesses to not only attract new clients but also expand existing partnerships,” explains Philipp Reichardt, VP of Enterprise Sales for North America. “Whether it’s expanding into new markets, increasing product usage, or helping clients scale their operations globally through our cross-border payments solutions and financial services, we’re dedicated to helping enterprise businesses thrive.”
Big impact, bold growth
On a day-to-day basis, the team works to empower large multinational clients with cutting-edge payments and financial solutions. Most team members are based in San Francisco and New York, while others work remotely from San Diego, Austin and Toronto. With demand for Airwallex’s solutions on the rise, the dynamic and growing team is scaling to meet the needs of an expanding customer base.
“I’m really proud of how much the team has achieved – not just in terms of revenue growth, but also in the value we bring to our clients,” Philipp shares. “We’ve had customers who started with very modest payment volumes and, after adopting our products and services, have scaled to process hundreds of millions of dollars through our platform. The impact and level of growth has been phenomenal. Our team is now 20+ strong and still growing!”

Joining the company over three years ago as an Account Executive, her contributions and dedication earned her a promotion to Senior Account Executive and then Director. Today, just as she was once guided by her own managers, Nicole mentors a team of four Account Executives – while managing her own client portfolio.
Reflecting on her career progression, Nicole emphasizes the value of taking ownership of your own development and having supportive leaders.
“I shared my goal to lead a team with my manager, Philipp, early on, and he’s pushed at every turn to make that happen. Ravi Adusumilli, our President of the Americas, has also been an incredible sponsor – not just for me, but for so many other team members. He does an amazing job of recognizing folks for their exceptional work!”
Nicole also credits the depth of Airwallex’s product suite as a key driver of her growth, keeping her engaged and learning.

As a leader, Nicole is committed to fostering a culture of growth. For new team members, she prioritizes product training to build confidence. For experienced team members, she focuses on refining advanced skills like creative problem-solving and stakeholder alignment.
Looking ahead, Nicole plans to align her team’s goals with their long-term aspirations.
“In 2025, I’ll focus on understanding my team’s medium- and long-term goals to ensure their work aligns with their ambitions,” she explains.
Scaling for the future
With strong product-market fit and a clear strategy for the North American market, Philipp envisions exciting growth ahead for the team.
“We’re in a phase where we’ve laid a solid foundation – our products are resonating with customers, revenue is taking off, and we’re receiving more interest every day,” he shares. He adds that the team will be looking to hire vertical experts – individuals with strong backgrounds in specific industries – to help scale the business in those verticals.
