The Enterprise Business team at Airwallex is a high-performing and collaborative group of innovators, focused on transforming the way large global businesses operate. What you’ll do

The Associate Director, Account Management plays a crucial role at Airwallex as we expand our enterprise customer base and team in Australia. As the Account Management Lead, you’ll work closely with our platform team to support our top-tier clients, from implementing APIs to the post-go-live phase. You’ll also collaborate with various internal teams at Airwallex, including sales, product, engineering, marketing, finance, and strategy.

If you’re a technology enthusiast who enjoys Fintech, you’ll be eager to learn about our platform and solve complex problems. This will enable you to work with customers, understand their needs, and provide more value to their business. 

This role is based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and lead our growing account management team with a focus on customer success and growth.

  • Build deep relationships with our key strategic accounts to best understand their needs & provide value-based solutions utilising our range of products and services.

  • We support you in achieving revenue targets by focusing on input metrics to deliver relevant outcomes. The team has an established framework, but we encourage you to personalise your approach and contribute to the role in a way that works best for you.

  • Forecast & build out a pipeline within Salesforce to accurately track numbers for the business and identify how/when/what success you’re driving.

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to share customer insights & help build out the roadmap. 

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications

  • 10+ years in enterprise or strategic account management, ideally in fintech or complex technology sales.

  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience.

  • You understand lengthy sales cycles and the nuances of enterprise relationships.

  • You excel at building rapport across all levels, from C-suite executives to operations teams.
    Project management experience: You’ll simultaneously manage multiple clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring everything stays on track.

  • You’re excited to learn technical concepts and become our internal product champion.

  • You are a creative problem solver: Ambiguity is your friend. You think outside the box, navigate complex structures, and find solutions others might miss.

  • You have a Payments Background: Understanding payments dramatically enhances your success in this role.
