Airwallex Careers

If you are an experienced go-to-market (GTM), product, or engineering talent in London, you’re likely looking for more than just another role. You want to work at the frontier of AI, solve meaningful problems, learn fast, and have a real hand in shaping what gets built and how it goes to market.

That is what the London team offers.

London sits at the intersection of Airwallex’s global ambition and one of the world’s most important fintech markets. More than 200,000 companies globally such as Bolt, Carwow, Qantas, Arsenal, and McLaren use Airwallex to manage global accounts, payments, spend, billing, and embedded finance on one platform, rather than stitching together legacy banks and point solutions.

“Being in the London office means you are visible during this growth, and you get to be part of those conversations early on.” Ashley, Senior Account Executive

Closer to the Decisions that Matter

The clearest difference is proximity to decisions. A customer conversation early in the week can shape a product, pricing, or GTM discussion within days. That kind of loop is rare at larger companies, and it matters if you want influence, not just ownership of a single lane.

Whichever London team you join, you will:

  • Build from a growing EMEA hub, with the UK team already more than 140 people and still scaling
  • Work from our Fitzrovia office, a 16,000 sq ft space designed for the next stage of growth
  • Partner closely with product, commercial, and regional leaders, with fewer layers between customer feedback and action

Expectations are high, but so is the level of support around you. The goal is not short bursts of output, it’s building strong teams that can perform at a high level over time.

“It’s amazing to take that step back and go, ‘I remember that 30-person office three years ago,’ and now we have this hundred-and-something-person office, and it is a proper mature office.” Chris, Sales Manager

Startup Pace, Global Scale

Airwallex GM for UK & Europe, Christos, at the new London office opening ceremony

In London, you get the pace, ownership, and experimentation of a startup, with the backing of a global company building critical financial infrastructure at scale. Growth across EMEA is being driven by higher-value, multi-product relationships, particularly with businesses operating across borders in sectors such as software and e-commerce.

You are joining a company where teams are actively working out how AI can improve the way global financial products are built, sold, and supported. Across Airwallex, people already use AI tools in their day-to-day work to move faster on research, execution, and decision-making, while keeping human judgment where it matters most.

The opportunity is not to talk about AI in the abstract, but to learn how it changes real work inside a regulated, global financial platform.

That shows up in a few practical ways:

  • Customer feedback gets to the right people quickly, because London teams work closely with customers, partners, and regional decision-makers
  • Frontline insight does not disappear into a black box, it feeds Voice of Customer inputs, cross-functional pods, customer metrics, and roadmap discussions
  • You can learn by shipping in market, whether that is refining onboarding, improving acceptance, or helping launch products for the UK and Europe

“You get that creativity, flexibility, and freedom of a startup, but with the backing of a large established enterprise. At Airwallex, you are freer to run your accounts in your own way.” Eleanor, Senior Account Manager

Why London, Why Now

EMEA revenue grew 116% year-on-year. Transaction volume rose 226%. To accelerate that momentum, Airwallex is investing more than $1 billion across EMEA — including $590 million in the UK. That investment will support UK headcount growth, including around 100 new senior engineering roles. It also marks a new chapter for the London office, with engineers set to be based there for the first time.

For senior talent, that matters because you are not stepping into a fully defined organization. You are joining at a point where strategy, structure, and scope are still evolving, and where strong operators can have real influence.

Leading that next chapter is Christos Chamberlain, our new GM of UK & EU:

“Companies in the UK and Europe face increasingly complex financial challenges as they scale. Airwallex is perfectly positioned to remove that friction and I’m excited to help accelerate what’s already been an impressive period of growth.”

Joining now means you can:

  • Help shape how products are prioritized, localized, and launched across the UK and wider EMEA region
  • Build or refine GTM plays for enterprise and mid-market customers, including expansion into priority European markets
  • Step into larger leadership scope as new teams, specialties, and cross-functional pods form
  • Be known for clear thinking and execution, because strong ideas travel quickly in a team that is still growing

“Now is the perfect time to join us. I used to think this was the case a year and a half ago when I joined, but it is an even better time today.” Hussam, Staff Product Manager
