Job Description
For CN Venture Partnerships, you will be a key driver in setting and executing our strategic direction for growth in the market. Your primary focus will be on building and enhancing the brand image, as well as increasing market penetration through systematic commercial activities. This role requires close collaboration with startups, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders in the PE/VC industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and market expansion.

  • Build partnerships with startups, entrepreneurs, and PE/VC/CVC firms to enhance brand presence and market influence

  • Lead and oversee systematic commercial activities to achieve business objectives

  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer and other internal teams to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities

  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years working in corporate development, investment banking, private equity or related fields

  • Proven experience in venture partnerships, business development, or related roles within the Chinese market

  • Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, PE/VC landscape, and commercial activities

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset

  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is required

  • Collaborative approach to leadership and problem solving, including proven success in attracting and developing talent

CN¥40K – CN¥65K per month • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
