About the team

The Marketing team at Airwallex drives brand awareness and customer engagement through innovative and strategic campaigns. We work to communicate the value of our financial solutions, attract new customers, and strengthen relationships with existing ones. What you’ll do

We’re looking for an ambitious Marketing Strategist to develop and execute holistic strategies that drive global brand awareness, market growth, and revenue. You’ll work closely with Airwallex’s VP, Global Marketing and other business leaders to help shape the company’s next phase of growth. You’re a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and multi-channel Marketing. You are obsessed about the end customer and finding the most effective way to communicate our differentiated value. You’re genuinely interested in the latest Marketing technologies and stay up to date on industry innovations.

This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy strategic Marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives. Identify market opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy. Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities.

  • Define key performance indicators for Marketing initiatives. Track and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation regularly.

  • Work closely with Marketing leaders and Finance to manage Marketing budgets. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximise ROI.

  • Partner with leaders from Marketing, Sales, Product, and other functions to ensure cohesive execution of Marketing strategies.

  • Play an outsized role in fostering a culture of learning, engagement, and continuous improvement across the team. Operate as a major culture carrier.

  • Drive various initiatives around organisational design and own annual planning for the function. Manage executive communication, including quarterly business reviews.

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

What you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Strategy or Chief of Staff roles, with a proven track record of successful strategy development and execution. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Must have experience working with top-tier strategy/management consulting firms

  • An innovative mindset with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends. An ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfort leading annual planning, budget and headcount management, OKR setting and measurement, quarterly business reviews, and strategy alignment and articulation.

  • Innate intellectual curiosity to understand our customers’ problems inside-out and to know how our product offering can help.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, and an appreciation of the balance between global scale and local nuance.

  • An understanding of how to make “process” beneficial to an organisation’s speed and efficiency, and not a tax on growth.

  • The ability to generate insight from complex data, and to use that insight to improve messaging, strategy, and overall campaign performance.

  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to analyse data to craft insightful business narratives.
