About the team

The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. What you’ll do

This role will be part of the Financial Platform product team, building out our capabilities that enable Airwallex product teams to build new products quickly and as independently as possible. This team is critical to the success of the business, needing to capture all financial data to ensure compliance with local regulations and ensuring data accuracy that will drive both programmatic funds movement and financial reporting. You will be responsible for leading high-impact projects from ideation to launch and need to quickly build an understanding of all aspects of the Airwallex business to be successful.

  • Maintain the Airwallex ledger and build out capabilities that allow product domains to get product into market quickly

  • Own the ongoing development and rollout of the reconciliation engine across all internal and external fund flows 

  • Ensure best-in-class financial data accuracy and timeliness to ensure accurate reporting to key stakeholders and management, and additionally enabling optimisation of fund flows

  • Manage the continued evolution of transaction orchestration, clearing and settlement of transactions against the customer ledger to enable product domains to build new product independently

This role can be based in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney or Melbourne

Your background and experience

  • 8+ years of overall professional experience 

  • Experience in a fintech, professional services or consultancy company

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher within Computer Science, Mathematics or Accountancy/Finance

  • Experience in product management, product control, go-to-market propositions, product design, product planning and development

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Close attention to detail, ability to structure complex problems and inform decisions with data and first-principle insights

  • Drive, grit, and persistence to take ownership and move ideas to reality in short periods of time

  • Ability to thrive in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams

  • Experience considering both user requirements and commercial strategy in order to drive meaningful product growth

  • Experience in any of the following is a plus: hyper growth startup environments, software engineering, financial technology

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
