About the team
Airwallex’s Global Treasury and Payments Network (GTPN) team encompasses sending money on behalf of our clients, collection of funds and treasury / cash management for both our customers and our internal operations.
What you’ll do
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Product Strategy to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers, product, commercial and compliance teams. As a core member of the China PSP team, you will get to directly contribute to the direction of the Airwallex’s product strategy, proposition and commercial success in China. You will directly interface with banking partners and regulators to drive the PSP strategy for China and other key markets.
This role is based in Shanghai.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate directly with the product, commercial, legal, compliance and financial partnership teams to translate ‘customer needs’ into an effective and market-leading product and commercial strategy

Provide subject matter expertise and drive the product and go-to-market strategy for Airwallex’s China PSP

Communicate key recommendations to senior stakeholders including the CEO, SVP Product, Chief Legal Counsel and other key leaders

Leverage first principles problem solving skills to develop Airwallex’s strategic ‘big product bets’ that is required to grow our business and unlock additional use cases

Embed robust ways of working, best practices and capabilities across product, commercial, compliance and strategy teams to drive delivery on initiatives effectively
Minimum qualifications:
-
6-12 years of working experience, with 3-5 years of experience in either product management or product strategy at a fast growing tech company or at a top tier consulting firm

Exposure to the Chinese fintech landscape, ideally with a focus on cross-border payments

Exceptional written and spoken communication skills – you’re able to articulate complex concepts in a simple way

Excellent project management skills to drive cross functional collaboration towards deliverables

Strong analytical and first principles-led problem solving skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with demonstrated academic achievement

Business fluency in Mandarin and English
