Why this role matters
Payment Applications play a critical role in Airwallex’s merchant growth and revenue. By making it effortless for businesses to accept payments, you will help power the next generation of global commerce — and expand Airwallex’s impact around the world.
About the Team
At Airwallex, product development is a highly collaborative effort between engineering, design, partnerships, operations, legal, and go-to-market teams. You’ll be joining a fast-moving, experienced group of Product Managers dedicated to building innovative payment applications that empower merchants to accept payments across a wide range of use cases — without needing to write a single line of code.
The Payment Applications team focuses on building customizable, reliable, and seamless solutions for merchants — whether they are e-commerce businesses, SaaS platforms, or marketplaces. We care deeply about delivering outstanding merchant and shopper experiences, and take a user-centered approach to product development. We combine user research, experimentation, and data-driven insights to continuously refine our products. Our goal is to empower merchants to integrate Airwallex quickly, configure payments to fit their needs, and deliver the best possible payment experience for their customers.
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of Airwallex’s Payment Applications — building solutions that enable merchants to start accepting payments effortlessly. You will define product vision, strategy, and execution across key merchant touchpoints, ensuring high reliability, seamless onboarding, and deep configurability to meet a variety of merchant needs.
You will work across engineering, design, partnerships, and go-to-market teams to deliver best-in-class solutions that are easy to adopt, customizable to different merchant models, and capable of scaling globally.
What you’ll do
Responsibilities
-
Build a deep understanding of merchant needs across industries and geographies, synthesizing research, feedback, and data to identify product opportunities.
-
Define and execute the roadmap for Airwallex’s Payment Applications, focusing on seamless integration, high reliability, and configurability.
-
Build products that enable merchants to start accepting payments with minimal technical effort, while offering rich configuration for advanced use cases.
-
Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, scalable products with exceptional user experience.
-
Work cross-functionally with risk, partnerships, operations, and go-to-market teams to ensure our solutions drive merchant adoption and satisfaction.
-
Establish strong feedback loops with merchants and internal teams to iterate quickly and continuously improve product offerings.
-
Drive end-to-end launches: from ideation, scoping, development, and stakeholder alignment to go-to-market rollout.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these, we encourage you to apply — the preferred qualifications are a bonus.
Minimum Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in a dedicated Product Management role, shipping and scaling products in fintech, SaaS, payments, or commerce ecosystems.

-
Strong product sense and ability to balance user needs, technical complexity, and business impact.
-
Experience working closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to drive product development.

-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to align and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences.
