About the team
A key part of Airwallex’s suite of Business Account software, the Spend team are revolutionising the way businesses manage their spend and manage bills, credit cards and expenses. This team solves complex challenges around the growing demands of data and feature complexity in credit cards, bills and and expenses, and they work at the exciting intersection of our backend infrastructure and customer facing applications, working on distributed systems that manage millions of transactions.
What you’ll do
While you are a technically strong engineer who is still passionate about writing code, your leadership skills, product thinking and business acumen are what really sets you apart. You will contribute to the quality and delivery of products within the Spend team. While you do not have direct reports, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership through the quality of your engineering work.
This role is based in Singapore.

Who you are
We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:

5+ years experience in modern engineering practices focused on continuous integration/delivery and quality engineering.

Strong computer science fundamentals. While we do not mind what language you have most recently been using, we are using Java or Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot.

Evidence of working on complex product features.

Hands on experience with event driven architectures.

Strong cloud experience GCP (preferred) or AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudFront etc.) with docker and Kubernetes.

Observability tooling such as Splunk, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana.
