About the team

The Finance & Corporate Development team at Airwallex drives the company’s financial strategy and growth. Our team focuses on financial planning, analysis, and corporate transactions to ensure Airwallex’s long-term success. We collaborate across departments to identify opportunities, manage risks, and execute strategic initiatives. Our goal is to support the company’s mission to empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime.

About the role

As Senior Manager, FP&A, you will be the lead finance partner for our global commercial organisation, working closely with Sales, Marketing and other GTM teams to shape how Airwallex grows efficiently across markets and products. You will own end-to-end quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting for revenue and commercial spend, build the KPI and reporting backbone for GTM performance, and provide deep financial insights that guide senior management decisions. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall financial planning and analysis strategy, aligned with the company’s objectives and financial goals.

  • Lead the quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes for Commercial / GTM, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with Airwallex’s long‑range plan, EBITDA targets and budgeting policy.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze financial data, provide insights and report on areas of concern to senior management to support overall business planning and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with regional GMs and business leaders across Sales, Marketing and Partnerships to conduct in‑depth financial analysis on profitability, cost management and revenue enhancement opportunities by region, product and segment, translating findings into concrete actions and trade‑off recommendations.

  • Champion an AI-first approach by driving the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies into traditional FP&A processes, fostering a culture of continuous innovation to automate routine analyses, shorten the budgeting and reporting cycles, enhance predictive modeling, and create more agile, data-driven ways of working within the Finance, Commercial, Data and Finance Architecture teams.

  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement within FP&A function. Mentor junior resources, provide guidance, feedback and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A or commercial finance experience, with clear ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in high-growth businesses.

  • Extensive experience partnering with GTM, Sales, and Marketing teams, including revenue forecasting, pipeline analytics, and unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback, retention).

  • Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel/Google Sheets) to build driver-based forecasts and scenario analyses using large datasets.

  • Track record of translating financial analysis into clear recommendations for senior, non-finance stakeholders to influence cross-functional decisions.

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with experience building or upgrading FP&A processes rather than just running BAU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Early-career training in Big 4 (audit, deals, transaction services), investment banking, private equity, or consulting, followed by in-house corporate finance roles.

  • FP&A experience in a fast-growing tech or fintech company, ideally with exposure to SaaS, payments, or multi-region business models.

  • Hands-on experience with modern FP&A/BI tools (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Databricks, Tableau, Looker) and data extraction (SQL).

  • Experience managing and developing FP&A analysts and building scalable ways of working.
