About the team

Our Security Engineering Team are a highly skilled, proactive team that ensure the security of our products as we scale-up all around the World. They work closely with our Product, Engineering and IT teams and help to identify, protect and respond to cybersecurity threats. 

What you’ll do

As a Staff Security Engineer, you are a trusted member of the Airwallex Information Security team. You’ll work closely with our Product, Engineering and IT teams and identify, protect and respond to cybersecurity threats, as well as being a trusted partner to them.

This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore or San Francisco .

Responsibilities:

This role is a hands-on and highly influential position that requires experience in designing, developing and managing infrastructure projects and processes that are related to the security of networks, systems and applications.

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • You have 8+ years of experience in security engineering and incident response

  • Experience with common security monitoring tools, including Splunk, and recent hands-on experience in scripting and Python

  • Recognised training or cybersecurity certifications  (such as OSCP, GIAC, CEH….)

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS… we don’t mind which)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of software development and CI/CD tooling
