The Opportunity: Be Part of Our Onboarding Team

Onboarding team plays a pivotal role in Airwallex’s mission by facilitating the rapid integration of businesses into our platform. As a data-driven team, we utilize extensive analytics to refine our processes and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Our primary mission involves performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and risk-based operations to maintain the highest standards of compliance and security as we handle sensitive financial data, and empower business customers through robust, secure, and intuitive user and account management solutions.

This team is instrumental in our regional expansion, helping to onboard a growing number of customers into new markets. By supporting global expansion, we are also tasked with increasing the coverage of our product offerings, ensuring that businesses worldwide can benefit from our innovative financial solutions. Through our efforts, we aim to streamline the onboarding process, reduce barriers to entry, and foster a secure and compliant environment that empowers businesses to thrive in the digital economy.

Who We Are Looking For: 

As an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll be part of our Onboarding team to build the Airwallex Mobile App for our customers to access our payment products across the globe on the go.

You will work with your engineering colleagues as well as product stakeholders to not only make sure it’s secure, reliable, sustainable and developer-friendly but also bring new features and different levels of integration experience. We build our solutions in native technologies across iOS and Android, so we admire that you have a grasp of both platforms. 

In addition to core engineering duties, we actively encourage our engineering community to contribute to the growth of Airwallex generally. Our business is achieving rapid growth with an evolving roadmap, and we want our engineers to play a part in how that happens.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the design & implementation of enterprise applications and libraries for iOS;

  • Work with internal business teams and product management to define requirements and develop technical specifications;

  • Serve as core contributor owning full-cycle product development;

  • Work with Architect and re-factor code and design for optimal maintainability, extensibility and reusability.

Qualifications: 

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors;

  • At least 5 years of experience developing native apps in iOS (both Swift and Objective-C); Expert knowledge of iOS frameworks and ecosystem;

  • Good understanding of design patterns for mobile development;

  • Experience using RESTful APIs;

  • Promote robust and maintainable code with high test coverage, and can maintain automation pipelines for CI/CD;

  • Fluently in English.

CN¥50K – CN¥700K per month • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
