About the team

The SME & Growth Business team at Airwallex is a passionate group of collaborators and business champions dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to thrive in the global economy. We combine deep financial expertise with a growth mindset, working closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored solutions that streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams. As a team, we are driven by a desire to make a positive impact and are constantly innovating to find new ways to support the success of our SME customers.

What you’ll do 

As an Airwallex Account Manager, you will build relationships with our existing top tier customers to ensure that our customers are maximizing the value they are receiving from our products and services. Your main focus and goal is to drive value that leads to adoption, expansion, and customer satisfaction. You will be dedicated to finding cross-sell opportunities within current client accounts by establishing lasting relationships with key decision makers. 

This role is based in San Francisco or New York City.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the go-to expert on the Airwallex platform, understanding customer needs and tailoring solutions to meet them.

  • Identify and convert new opportunities within existing accounts, driving increased platform adoption and revenue.

  • Conduct consultative meetings with senior leaders, showcasing the business value of Airwallex’s innovative solutions.

  • Partner with internal teams to optimize the client experience and maximize platform utilization.

  • Deeply understand customer needs through various feedback channels, including data analysis, surveys, and QBRs.

  • Mentor junior team members and provide strategic guidance on key account decisions.

Who you Are 

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of proven success in software sales or account management within the technology or SaaS industry.

  • Prior experience in API sales or account management and proficiency with Salesforce

  • Demonstrated expertise in value-based solution selling and navigating complex sales cycles. Comfortable presenting to and closing deals with C-level executives.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding goals and a willingness to go the extra mile.

  • A genuine commitment to understanding and exceeding customer needs, consistently prioritizing their satisfaction and success.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Fintech experience

  • Looker or other data visualization experience

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, complemented by an organized and methodical approach to work.

$96K – $140K • Offers Equity • Offers Commission

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
