Role and Project Scope:

As a Staff Engineer on the Knowledge Platform team, you will be a key leader in our new AI department. You will be instrumental in building the foundational infrastructure that democratizes access to knowledge across the company. This platform will serve as the engine for all AI-driven initiatives, from internal AI enablement and workflow automation to customer-facing search and analytics.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to define the technical vision, architecture, and API design for a system that leverages cutting-edge AI and language models to unlock our company’s collective intelligence. Your work will directly impact how we provide support, enable our business teams, and deliver next-generation solutions to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Spearhead the creation of AI Knowledge Platform to enable growth and drive internal efficiency across the business.

• Spearhead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and highly available systems that enable the creation of new AI applications, including knowledge search and agentic AI.

• Build the pipelines and services that allow other teams to access knowledge through natural language, supporting projects like RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and “Natural Language to SQL” applications.

• Collaborate effectively with a diverse, cross-functional team to leverage existing AI technologies, and research and implement new ones, to meet product goals.

• Providing prompt and effective solutions or workarounds in response to application issues or software bugs, maintaining high client satisfaction.

• Embrace the challenges of a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a focus on innovation.

What You Need to Have:

• Experience: 10+ years in backend software development with a passion for AI and language technologies. Proven track record of delivering major impact and leading large-scale projects.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.

• Systems Expertise: Extensive experience in the design and development of large-scale, distributed, high-concurrency, and high-availability systems.

• AI/Data Knowledge: Experience with vector databases and a strong understanding of the data and infrastructure requirements for large-scale AI and machine learning workloads.

• Education: A relevant degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
