About the team

The SME & Growth Business team at Airwallex is a passionate group of collaborators and business champions dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) to thrive in the global economy. We combine deep financial expertise with a growth mindset, working closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored solutions that streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams. As a team, we are driven by a desire to make a positive impact and are constantly innovating to find new ways to support the success of our SME customers.

What you’ll do

You will be managing a portfolio of small and medium enterprise (SME) leads who want to sign up to our platform, you will also be shaping our initial processes, customer segments and our product experience. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders across Airwallex to help optimize our technology, workflow, on-boarding of new clients, compliance and provide insights to our Growth team.

This role is based in San Francisco, New York City, or Austin.

Responsibilities:

  • Own our inbound sales process from end to end for our SME customers. From initial outreach, product demonstration, closing the account and helping our customers familiarized with our products

  • Be an expert across Airwallex’s product offerings and how specific products can resolve customers pain points

  • Create a strong first impression to our customers and prospects by providing them with a world-class experience and product expertise

  • Achieve monthly targets of sourced qualified opportunities

  • Engage in customer conversations, understanding what their needs are and how we can help their business scale

  • Focus on great customer experience, resolving incoming support inquiries in a timely manner to ensure a great customer experience

  • Work across diverse global offices and different team functions 

Who you are

We’re looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a closing role in business development or sales

  • A degree from a 4-year university

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and influence across different teams

  • Success-oriented mentality, to hold yourself accountable for delivering key outcomes and revenue targets

  • Great communication and passion for connecting with people and solving problems

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in sales at a fintech company

  • Sales experience with usage-based products rather than contract-based selling

$64K – $135K • Offers Equity • Offers Commission

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
